Craig McGinlay, 26, is a Scottish TV and Film actor, best known for his work in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017), alongside Jude Law, Charlie Hunnam, and Eric Bana.
Craig McGinlay was named a British GQ ‘Rising Star’ in their June 2017 issue and was given a full page spread interview. Prior to this, Craig was also awarded ‘Breakthrough Star of the Year’ at the Scottish Style Awards.
His other television work includes; guest lead villain ‘Aldred’ in Knightfall on Netflix, alongside Tom Cullen. Craig can also be seen in Season 4 of the Starz and Amazon Prime International hit show Outlander. Craig studied a Masters Degree in sports science at the University of Stirling. Craig trained elite and professional athletes in football, rugby, hockey, swimming, badminton including preparing athletes for London Olympics 2012 and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games before being spotted and asked to take part in a brand launch film for Glasgow 2014. His weightlifter role got him scouted by a short film director where he was cast to play the lead role and the movie won best thriller in the likes of LA & Calgary.
Craig was then cast by Guy Ritchie in an advert alongside David Beckham which then led him to be cast in Guy’s fantasy epic King Arthur. Craig quit his job and has been working steadily since as aforementioned in TV and film. Craig is currently playing the lead villain in a major Bollywood movie alongside Bollywood heavy weights Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor.
